Pench National Park, located in Madhya Pradesh, is renowned for its rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes. Among its many attractions, the park is especially famous for its thriving leopard population. Taking its name from the meandering Pench River, which intersects the park, Pench National Park is a flourishing teak jungle home to various deer species, tigers and leopards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pench National Park\u2014 at 1200 sq km straddles two states, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra<\/strong>. The park has always been amongst the best places to see Leopards in India. This year has been more special due to frequent leopard sightings being recorded in the park. There are three gates for the core to access Pench National Park<\/a> from Madhya Pradesh – Turia Gate, Karmajhiri Gate and Jamatra Gate<\/strong> which offers access to the same part of the park. There are numerous leopard activities noticed this season which involve several individuals being sighted in different parts of the park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The key ones among them are 2 mating pairs of leopards, a mother with 3 cubs who are seen in Patdev tiger\u2019s Territory giving Patdev and her cubs a chance to steal leopard\u2019s kill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the mother and 4 cubs who were sighted together at the start of the season have now separated as the cubs are more than 1 year old now. This family is the reason for constant sightings in the area called Pyorthadi ( a beautiful rocky habitat often called Leopard Haven).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
